I already knew the answer,it was written on his face,in the way he couldn't
meet my questioning eyes."You have cancer", the doctor said. It was
prostate cancer & we scheduled the surgery to remove this most vile invader
from my body. I was in my first week of recovering from this painful &, at
least for me,degrading procedure when my wife & I went in for my check up.
Something was WRONG!! The surgeon wouldn't look me in the eyes,he
sighed when he sat down,&,finally looking at me said,"the cancer has
spread outside the prostate,I'm sorry there is nothing we can do except to
hope to contain it with lupron (female hormone) shots."

I understood despair, the gut wrenching, thought killing reality of the word.

I was numb, going through those first few days in a somnambulistic semblance of self.

I was given a great gift in my middle age,my wife & partner Judy. SHE was the  courageous one. All
4'10" 100 lbs. of her. You see,Judy is a cancer survivor. She had bone & renal cancer & now this mighty
miracle was in my life!! She got me in touch with the cancer treatment centers of america. We went for
an assessment & the radiation uncologist said something that told volumes about this place.
I asked him if he could cure me & he said "That's in Gods hands,I can only do what I can."

With Judy at my side,God fearing doctors,& a support group, both at the ctca,& once again thanx to my
small but mighty wife, all around the country,we began. I had radiation treatments daily for 10 weeks & at
home recovery from those for another 6 & my psa, (how they measure prostate cancer cells)went from
11 (verrrryyy bad) to .008 (almost nonexistant).

My miracle began when Judy & I married,& I foolishly believed that this big bad ex-biker was going to
look after & protect her. Job 26:14 Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of
him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?

I am no longer the man I was, but, thanks be to God,I am becoming the man I was meant to be.
2co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all
things are become new.

Question God if you must,it is our nature, but be prepared for His answer, for He will answer, that is His
nature. We may not understand the process, but as Job learned,Gods way is not ours, but His way is
perfect!
